Baltic porter is one of the few beer styles that has its own event.
Baltic Porter Day, or if you prefer the Polish name, Święto (or Dzień) Porteru Bałtyckiego.
Celebrated since 2016, always on the third Saturday of January.
On this day Baltic porters are poured from taps all over Poland, but not only. In 2024, the event was celebrated in 15 countries, on three continents. Every year breweries prepare beers specially brewed for the day, and there are panels, tastings, home-brewing displays and lectures.
